Maggie is kind a of music: sick of high school; loves
the color green; fond of forgiveness; enjoys the
deepest of sleeps; late on her period this month;
tired of cruel jokes about babies; never going to sail
away old; forever untold by the eyes that love
her
solving problems for all the others; never
learning how to change
a tire;
angel of the underground; spirits calling her cancer
to back off gently; hears her favorite song
and comes running; comes running,
running into the room
to sing, to sing, to sing;
show her god, god show her;
show her for me

a beautiful day;
she’s dying in this dream
with food stuck in her teeth; she says something else;
she has been diagnosed with cancer;
life must
love her;
she has a wanting….
a wanting to be healed, a magical mystical wanting to be ok again;
she wraps presents for poor kid’s Christmas; she wants to buy
everyone a space to create art: she is choking on vegan cookies;
her best friend is Avis Norfleet; she may be made of perfect divinity;
that may be up to her; she is best at helping others; it is always the best day to help
